Inseparable. Jory Petiprin and the guitar are bonded in a lifetime of musical devotion and achievement. The image of Jory strapped into his Fender Stratocaster is the instant recollection at the mention of his name to all who know him. In the way an artist uses a brush, it is the guitar that expresses Jory's grasp of a song's emotion as well as his own soul.
Jory Petiprin's musical journey with the guitar officially began on Christmas day in 1966 with the gift of an instrument of his own. With skillful hands and youthful ambition he set out as a teenager to pay homage to the incomparable guitar players of the time. His extra measure of desire and discipline quickly took hold and Jory soon found himself the lead guitarist and standout talent in each new group endeavor. Through a multitude of efforts, as well as the ups and downs in the life of a musician, he has remained committed to constant improvement and delivering the highest level of his proficiency.
Capable of soaring, sonic leads as well as subtle blues work, Jory's greatest gift is a heart that not only feels for the music but for those he shares his time with. He is a devoted father to his children and lifelong friend to many. Those who come to know him will recognize his respect toward others and the dependability of his word.
Jory keeps the atmosphere light and fun on and off stage with a wry sense of humor and quick wit. When asked about his favorite childhood memory he replied, "Going to see Bob Shultz play."
